Pat Johnson's garden and planting design case studies
Essex based garden deigner Pat Johnson specialises in low maintenance garden and planting design and the results are quite amazing. With a combination of design and her knowledge of plants grassy overgrown areas can be transformed into beautiful interesting gardens. Some of Pat's work can be seen below.

This was a long and fairly narrow garden. The design set at a 45% angle helped to give an impression of width. The second photo shows the newly landscaped garden just after it was planted. |

From a builders yard to a beautiful border. Large stones were used for the rockery, which contrasts well with the brick wall. The plants in this garden have started to mature and fill their allotted space. |

There are no 'before' shots but these photos are of a revamped border. I took out and moved plants that were in the wrong place or had grown too big. I then filled the gaps with plants suitable for this fairly shaded border. |
