Pat Johnson - Garden Designer from Essex
When I took early retirement from teaching I enrolled for the Plants and Planting Design course at Capel Manor College, Enfield. I have always been passionate about gardening and thought that this course would enhance my interest.
During the course I discovered that I had a flair for the design side and
subsequently enrolled for the Landscape and Garden Design course the following
year. I gained distinctions in both courses and decided to use my newly
acquired skills to create beautiful gardens for other people.

Experience
I have worked as a designer for five years and have designed a range of gardens from small town houses to large rural properties in the Essex area. In addition I have worked on projects which have included;
- a bee keeping demonstration garden, planted only with bee-friendly and indigenous plants
- a project with a local school to design and build a garden area in a home for the elderly.
