My planting and garden design schemes ensure that the garden has some interest throughout the year, not just in summer. A lot of the plants are evergreen.
Plants are chosen to suit the conditions in which they are to grow, taking
many factors into account, including the amount of sun or shade, the soil,
the surroundings and the maintenance level.
I like to use some plants that are not ‘run of the mill' but it is always important that they have a long season of interest.
I mainly use plants that are low maintenance.
